CKphotoDesign is owned and operated by Connie K. Davis. She provides “on location” photo shoots in Omaha, Nebraska and surrounding areas. The business began in 2002 when Connie realized the need for a photographer that specialized in capturing the many moods of a pet. Later she expanded the nature of her work to also accommodate for the enhancement, and redesign of previously taken photographs.

Why Pets?

In 2001 Connie began fostering cats for a local rescue group, FELINE FRIENDZ. She had always had a way with animals and photography. Now she was constantly blessed with new cats/kittens, all with different stories to be told through their photos. These felines proved to have an immense amount of character as every animal does. During the healing process of turning these rescued cats into home bound friends, Connie loved making a photographic journal of the growing process.

With a digital camera in hand, and plenty of adorable subjects, Connie started making use of these perfect moments. She also found that with digital media she was able to manipulate pictures. This made it possible for her to no longer worry if the surroundings were perfect, only that the very essence of each pet’s personality was being captured.

It wasn’t long before she began sending home a small photo album with the new adoptive families of these fine felines. Making it possible for them to bring home “baby photos” of the newest member of their family was very popular and rewarding. This is when she realized the importance of a GOOD pet photographer. Capturing the expressions and actions of our furry family members as they happen — on location — became her passion.
